I had lot in my mind to share with my old buddies with whom i studied MBA at D.J. Academy for managerial excellence(DJAME), Coimbatore. Yes, from chennai i was getting ready to Alumni Meet'08 at Coimbatore along with my roommate Ashok. We boarded Nilagiri Express at central station.
It happened in the coach which we travelled, POWER CUT. But we both managed by gossiping about our class gals n guys and juniors as well. There was gal (she should be an Aunt) nearby stalking Ashok and so di he, for which he dint allow me to sleep, finally i won, but he dint sleep for loooong time.
12th Oct'08:
Reached Coimbatore at 4:45 Am, hunted for a hotel to stay, got it, forgot the name now. We actually booked Non-A/C room but they gave us A/C room in which A/C will be switched off but they forgot to switch it off (i needn't tel more on thisabt wat wud've hapend then). We fell asleep, only to hear my cellular ringing to disturb my slep, it was tat idiot Vaidhyanathan from Tuticorin. He arrived coimbatore at 6:00 AM and later he arrived our room. Gossips again, topics went on Cinema, Rajini, Vijay, DADA, College, work and etc (i bet, girls would lose if they compete in gossiping with us).
When Ganesh Shankar rang me @ 9:30 AM, we (according to him) are ready to head to college but we poor guys were waiting for the ordered breakfast after jus brushing. Ganesh reached our place by 10:00 AM, as he told. Ufff, hurry hurry, we gotta get ready, come on, dey Vaidhi bawdu, go take bath, Vaidhy to told ashok to go in, ganesh felt tired, hmmm.. atlast we got ready. I was a bit late as usual (it happens, cooooooool)... We were at our college at 11:10 AM. We were 10 from our batch and some more from other batches as well. As i guessed (i did bet), nobody of my immediate juniors come except one poor guy to represent that unfortuante batch. I believe robustly that wen i was in 1st yr i had lovely senior batch but wen i was in 2nd yr, i dint have junior batch.
Alumni meet'08 at DJAME began with a pathetic MoC by two 2nd year MBA students, i didn't wish to know their name. After prayer the felicitation began, HOD spoke, as usual i admired. Alumni, one by one started sharing their experience with some really useful inputs for the current batch students. Ashok spoke, he spoke as if he is next to Kumara Mangalam Birla at Madura Garments, keep going u rock, oh my god he is stil th same guy, gud gud. He can tackle any situation.
I dint have th intention to speak until a character in th name of PRINCIPAL of the college snatched the microphone and gave a speech which i've never heard before in my life. I found myself guilty, as i was listening to someone who was putting my HOD down by words. I took over the stage, do you need me to explain wat happened after that? To finish the felicitation placement officer Mr. Dayanidhi was called, he thankd us. Now again the pathetic MoC desk called a student to deliver Vote of Thanks and thank god, Ashok interrupted and taught them how to POLITELY invite a person to stage and them clear that we are not suppose to ORDER anyone to come to stage.
Lunch: (soru soru)
They have arranged lunch for us, great. I was shocked to see the Head cook inviting by calling my name (3 yrs after i left my college). Sorry, i dont remember his name. He is a he and not she, ha haah ah ha... Nice lunch we had, good old memories in tat Mess hall, where we had people looking at us like an Alien wen ever we 4Vs (Vijay, Vaidhy, Vignesh, Vasanth) get in and sit in th same corner table together. We weren't rowdies or gundas, but ppl loved us (including me, which never happend during my Engineering graduation).
We met some people (pupil) in curent 2nd yr (2009 passing out) who are dedicated and love my college in every aspects. Like Satish, Preethi, Venkat, Dharani. I pity them for they are under this principal. Had a nice chat them as well. Later had a mini foto session with "MY" classmate friends and left the academy, half hearted. After al, i luv my college like i luv my country (sometimes more than that).
Maruti Alto - B.R.Karthi's car. I, Asok, Vaidhi were travelling with him. He is jus married. Neither he bought that car nor his parents but its his car, HOW? U r rite, but its for his unmatched credibilty. He already OWNS a Santro. Enuf enuf, ரொம்ப புகழாரம் சூட்ட கூடாது...!!!!
As a custom, we Visited the newly wedded couple at their residence. We had an evening chat, snacks and etc. Headed to the hotel room.
It was nice time after a very loooooong time at coimbatore. Wen am i gonna meet my buddies again at my College.? With no tears and with lot more happy memories added, i boarded the horrible Guwahati express with Ashok from Coimbatore junction to Chennai. A coach which could accomodate 72 passengers atleast had 130 passengers. I didn't sleep that night. It was a different experience. http://djamealumnimeet'08
